Let’s dance, let’s play in a tale high in the clouds!
A boy and a girl that visited the moon city to meet a new friend!
Transportation? A small boat that flies high! So high that you can touch the stars!
A playful dancing fictional depiction of the tale “TRIP TO THE MOON CITY” by Stamatis Benetas, about friendship and distinctness.
Our purpose? To have a small happy theatrical performance based on the tale and children’s imagination, driving us through beautiful paths!
Bring with you your comfortable clothes, water and imagination!

We invite you to the open presentation of the workshop “LET’S DANCE, TALE!” by Stamatis Benetas on Friday 15/07 at the Ano Manna Park at 11:30.

Stamatis Benetas

Stamatis Benetas was born in Athens in 1985.
He took his first degree on Preschool Day Care for Persons with Disabilities and continued his studies in Greek Sign Language School of the Deaf Association.
In 2012 he was trained by the Vocational Training Institute AKMI on the field of Applied Arts of the Dance and Creation as he had the opportunity to present his artistic work combining the sectors of Dance, Teaching and Choreographing.
He felt the need to transmit his love for the dance to children, so his teaching experience has to do with the teaching of Hip Hop as also with the creation of a combined programme of music, music, hip-hop, improvisation and gymnastics for children from 3.5 years old and above called “Chipiti Hop”.
This programme was requested from dancing schools and schools of Palaio Faliro, Byron, Galatsi, Heliopolis, New Smyrna and from the artistic event planning workshop ‘Efpalinos’.
He also taught and organized artistic events of music, motion and «Ηipiti Hop» in the creative expression workshop ‘The Wing’, the theatrical group of University of Athens, in Co-Act (preparation center for autistic children), in the camping for people with disabilities and the last year in the ‘Edifice Civilization and Creation Syros’. He taught hip hop in the schools of Iliaki, Casa de Arte Cabeira, Danse de La Vie, Cumbania Dancehouse and Akropoditi Dance and Performing Arts Centre. He has been dealing with traditional music for the last 3 years.
He danced in the 15th Festival of Young Choreographers with his own choreography and musical composition.
He participated in the project of Sofia Kondylias «Human Constructions» at Romantzo with the central theme «Dance and Architecture» in Graduation Ball J.Straus with performances and touring and the research work of Mariza Vinieratou.
He danced with the group SaLtaTor, in performances of physical theatre and he participated in choreographies of Harris Madafounis. Furthermore, he participated at «Hip Hop International Greece»
He is in charge of organizing children’s performances (dance, music and design) and children’s events and party.
And Last, but not least, Stamatis Benetas has attended seminars on modern dance (Limon, Release, Graham), Classic Ballet (RAD, Vaganova method), Jazz (ISTD, free style, musical), Contact improvisation, theatre games and Puppet theatre, Break dance, hiphop, loking, poping, and the Organization of dance theatre groups.
