Walk With Me – The Series

Walk With Me is a three-part dance film that focuses on a singular suitcase that passes through the hands of multiple carriers. Each carrier experiences a different path which changes the course of whom and what they meet along the way. Walk With Me plays with the construct of our everyday world through exploring time, nature, human experiences, movement, music and cinematography.

Tyler Carney is from Sydney, Australia and is a graduate of The New Zealand School of Dance. Over 6 years Tyler has worked with Atamira Dance Company, House of Sand, Black Grace and Footnote New Zealand dance. She joined Teac Damsa, directed by Michael Keegan-Dolan for the production of MÁM which has toured to Ireland, Sadler’s Wells, Perth and New Zealand. Tyler was a tutor at The New Zealand School of Dance, sharing her knowledge around contemporary dance, improvisation and choreography.
Joshua Faleatua is a dancer and filmmaker from Auckland, New Zealand. He is a graduate of the University of Auckland and has worked with dance companies, Footnote New Zealand Dance, Chunky Move, Stephanie Lake Company, The New Zealand Dance Company, Movement of The Human, Body Island and Ta’alili. Joshua has also worked at University of Melbourne and The University of Auckland as a dance tutor. As a filmmaker, he has created video content for small businesses such as tattoo studios, clothing brands, barber shops, music and dance companies.
