“How do memories help me balance?\u00bb<\/em>
\n“How do I shield myself with color?”<\/em>
\n“Cooperation or personal empowerment?”<\/em>
\nAn educational activity that highlights the issue of the connecrion with the unknown, and everything that comes with it and how art and artistic creation can affect people’s fear and anxiety in front of the unknown.
\nParticipants of the workshop through various activities will come in contact with memories (eg. icebreakers \u2013 history of my name) and experiences from the past which will both contribute to the understanding of the existence of the past and to the presence of the already lived experience. At the same time, through artistic stimuli, art history and everyday life, they will be physically and mentally involved in artistic observation and creation. Finally, they will work with their own experiences in order to create an artistic work in favor of creating a resilient self and understanding the reconciliation with the unknown of life and the future through art.
\nIn this workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to become emotionally involved to any extent he\/she wishes. Smaller groups or pairs will be created but many activities will also take place within the wider group. The purpose of the educational \u2013 artistic activity is for the participants to stir up experiences and create new ones by “traveling” from the past to the future but creating in the present.<\/p>\n

Argiro Dimaki<\/h3>\n

Artistic curator, facilitator of educational programs, facilitator through art with an emphasis on visual arts. From a very young age she enjoyed painting, trying to capture dreamy, colorful, strange worlds. As she grew up, she began to look for different ways of artistic expression such as photography and scenography. Her love for illustration prompted her to professionally deal with graphic design combining the art of painting with technology discovering new ways of expression. She has been trained in the curation and implementation of educational programs by the Aegean University aiming at therapy through art trying to help people to be freed and express their deepest thoughts and concerns. She does not stop looking for stimuli every day, in the city, in music, in photography and painting exhibitions keeping her inspiration alive. Today she is the co-founder of the art space ARTpoio and is responsible for the artistic curatorship, presentation and design of educational and artistic programs. Her motto is that childhood should remain in people even in adult life, giving a sense of joy and carefreeness, elements necessary for well-being.<\/p>\n

Eirini Gozadinou<\/h3>\n

Eirini Gozadinou lives and works in Athens as an art educator and facilitator of educational programmes. She is a graduate of the department of Archeology and History of Art of NKUA and the postgraduate programme \u201cCreative Arts in Education\u201d of the University of Exeter. She has attended Hellenic\u2019s Children Museum education considering the design and implementation of educational programmes in museums and cultural places as well as seminars on group animation, history of art, theatrical play and creative writing. She is also a graduate of the School of Narrative Arts in Athens. She collaborates with educational \u2013 artistic groups in schools and cultural places (SNFCC), museums (Hellenic Children\u2019s Museum, Museum of Cycladic Art) and libraries as well as in music places (\u201cFriends of Greek Island and Sea\u201d) for the designing and implementation of artistic educational programs and workshops for pre-school and school aged children. The last two years she collaborates with the artistic \u2013 educational workshop ARTpoio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
