Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n

AFRICA was born from the need the choreographer Claudio Scalia felt to express his opinion about human- nature relation, through a verypersonal choreographic language. The planet we live on is slowly changing, and little by little, dying, choking by emissions of carbon and greenhouse gases, overwhelmed by consumption of not renewable resources and by the temperatures of the air always higher and higher.
\nOur seas are full of plastic islands and this fact represents one of the main threats for our marine ecosystems and it is a growing risk for the biodiversity, for the environment and our health.
\nAFRICA expresses the choreographer’s desire to make new generations sensitive to the ecology and all this for better common future.
\nGreta Thunberg’s words resound inside Scalia’s choreographic work:” You have stolen mu dreams and my childhood\u2026 You are
\nletting us down but young people begin to understand your betrayal, the eyes of all the future generations look at you, and if you choose to fail we will never forgive you\u2026 the world is waking up and the changes are coming, no matter you like it or not”.
\nAFRICA represents a last temptation to reflourish our planet that is living in agony and reminds us that the life of the universe is a perpetual circle to be respected.<\/span><\/p>\n
